Anton Tsanev (b. 1983, Bulgaria) is a Sofia-based artist with a background in ecology and sculpture from the National Academy of Arts.
He has exhibited in “TRANSFORM” (Thessaloniki, 2012), Night/Plovdiv (2011–2013), and “The Monument – Public Misunderstanding” (2015), solo exhibition at Vaska Emanouilova Gallery in 2017. He has since participated in ART START (2018) and multiple group exhibitions at Sofia City Art Gallery and Raiko Alexiev Gallery, as well as public art projects for Plovdiv 2019.
For Anton Tsanev, ecology’s study of interconnected systems parallels sculpture’s engagement with space. He uses varied techniques and tools driven by specific concepts, working across sculpture, photography, video, and industrial design.
